Judith Baroody oversees public diplomacy at Embassy Paris and six field posts across France. As head of the Public Affairs Section, she supervises an information office (media relations, website, social media), cultural affairs (programs, exchanges) and an administrative unit, and serves as co-chair of the U.S.-France Fulbright Board.
Judith is a graduate of William and Mary (BA), University of Virginia (MA), National War College (MS) and American University (PhD, International Relations.) She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, and is the author of Media Access and the Military: the Case of the Gulf War.
Before joining the Foreign Service, Judith was a reporter and documentary producer. She has served in Syria, Israel, Morocco, Cyprus, Chile, and Iraq, and speaks French, Spanish and Arabic. Her husband, defense industry analyst Richard Krueger, also works at the Embassy.
